Cassegrain Winery The Symphony of Australia comes to the Cassegrain Winery in Port Macquarie on Sunday 7 June, with the gates opening from 2.00pm and the main event starting at 5.00pm. Set in the natural amphitheatre amongst the gorgeous vineyards and stunning rose gardens of this mid north coast winemaker, this concert will offer the ideal 'wine, cheese and symphony' experience. Also featuring local performance groups from the local Port Macquarie community, there will be several curtain raiser segments before the main event. Picnic Rugs and Chairs The event will be held on the grass of the rear courtyard and attendees are encouraged to bring picnic rugs and outdoor chairs to stake their position amongst the heritage listed setting. Please note there will be specific section at the front for people sitting on blankets, with a picnic chairs area starting slightly further back. Food and beverage A range of delicious food stalls will be available, and you are also welcome to bring along a picnic hamper. A licensed bar will also be available for all your beverage needs, and as this is a licensed event unfortunately no BYO alcohol is permitted. Transportation A shuttle bus service will be running directly to and from the event, picking up and dropping off at the Port Macquarie town centre - just outside the Glasshouse (32/40 Clarence St). Tickets for a return bus trip are available from the Glasshouse Box Office (along with concert tickets). There will be parking at the event site as well as a convenient drop off area for taxis. What to bring Please bring along camping chairs, picnic rugs and light foods. What NOT to bring Please DO NOT bring BYO alcohol or glass bottles. Merchandise A range of CDs from Gavin Lockley's various productions will be on sale as well as the acclaimed book 'Symphony of Australia'. An autograph session will also take place following the event for anyone purchasing a CD or book. |
